Newbies Thread - Thanks Crabman
I'd PM'd Crabman to trim the NEWBIES sticky thread of all posts after his post #7. This has now been done and the trimmed posts have been archived. NEWBIES now looks a lot better. :)

PCN has been sold to ML Collections
My daughter received a PCN from Car Park Management Manchester on 29/8/13 for which she has ignored all letters from this company asking for payment - as most sites advise you to do. Today she has had a letter from them saying they have sold her debt to MIL Collections Truro. She also had a letter from ML collections today…

The Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes Regulations 2015
This is the UK's first (but not last) set of regulations aimed at implementing the EU Directive on ADR: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2015/542/pdfs/uksi_20150542_en.pdf It's quite short, but nonetheless there is much in there to trouble the IAS. The following stick out like a sore thumb (13(e) is a problem for PoPLA…

Car Tax Fine
I was late in renewing my car tax in January, my own fault really I know, but basically in April last year I moved house, I sent in the section of my Logbook to inform them of this, never thinking anything of it, however about 3 weeks ago I received a penalty letter at my new house from a debt collection agency who had…

Fobbed off by DVLA?
I have a ticket from Care Parking issued at the Metro link car park which I understand from other threads is not relevant land as its covered by by-laws, Care are claiming liability under pofa 2012. As per the other threads I have complained to the DVLA about handing out my data and they have sent this reply.... Dear Mr…

Parking Eye Charge Aberdeen
Hi there, unfortunately I've been a bit of an idiot. This morning I received a parking charge notice from Private Eye for parking in the King Street Morrisons car park in Aberdeen. I immediately hopped online to see if I had to actually pay and saw a whole lot of stuff about appealing to the company and appealing through…

UKCPS NtK received but Driver didn't get to see PCN on windscreen
Hi, I promise we don't make a habit of this! Getting two PCNs from PPCs in two weeks was a bit of a one off! We won the appeal against PE but I'm not sure if this one is a lost cause. Parked outside an abandoned building in the middle of the night which was managed by UKCPS apparently. A PCN was allegedly put on the car…

Ticket for parking in a "Minibus" space
Hi all, This is my first post so please be kind. I have looked through the newbies section but want to make sure i'm clear on what to do as i'm very angry at being given this ticket. I was visiting a candidate in college (where parking spaces are at a minimum) and apparently parked in a "minibus only" space. I returned to…

Parking Eye - NtK Outside of 14 days - Question
I received a Notice to Keeper (entitled as a Parking Charge Notice) from Parking Eye - it was received 25 days after the alleged infringement date. Looking at the PCN the stated Issue Date is 17 days after the Date of Event, so they hadn't even processed it, never mind sent, it to be be received within the 14 days as I…

2 UKCPS Parking tickets at my own allocated place
My own car took away for repair in the garage and my parking permit is in the car. I have a curtsey car from insurance, which I park at my allocated parking space but without display the permit. Now I've got 2 parking tickets from UKCPS, and I think I will have more to come as my car still in…

Appealed for PCN but still received Notice to Registered Keeper
Hi all Thanks for your advice I received a parking notice on the 4th April which I appealed against within few days. I sent a recorded signed for delivery to the address and it has been delivered and signed. But I have received the NTRK on 8th may which has no mention about my appeal. What should I do now. Send the appeal…

A Summary of the Beavis Case
Please see the attached link for a summary of the Beavis case. In my view it is balanced in terms of describing what the Court found in this case although for many of us it was not the outcome that we hoped for. http://www.lpc-law.co.uk/news/latest-news/2015/may/enforceable-deterrent-may-2015/

Parking Eye - Advice
Hi all, I've read through the sticky and I still have a few questions. I have received a PCN through a parent (I am a named driver on their car) for a parking event in Poole (The George Hotel). I was sat in the car the whole time while my brother ran across to the shopping centre, time was 19:30 so it turned out all of the…

Gladstone Solicitors letter on behalf of PCM/DRP
Hi I wonder if anyone would be able to help me. I have received a letter from Gladstone solicitors stating I owe them money or they will take me to court. I was unaware that I have any outstanding parking tickets as I have had one previously and appealed it using this thread. I am proposing to send the below letter back…

Newcastle Airport - PCN from UK Parking Patrol Office
Hi there, Back in February, we got a PCN from UK Parking Patrol Office for parking on one of the access roads. As it was, my wife had got confused, and found herself in the lane for the drop off/pick up carpark. As I was on crutches at the time, I took the opportunity to get out along with my son who had the luggage. My…

Does poor signage ever win at POPLA?
Just submitted a POPLA appeal for ParkingEye - a stay of 18 mins in a carpark that was £2.00 all day monitored by ANPR. Half the time was getting in and out of the carpark through awkward bollards. There is no outward facing sign as you drive in to the carpark at all (just a large P sign). Most of the large signs are…

appeal rejected. Is it worth appealing to IAS
Hello, I appealed my VCN. It's been rejected and I now feel out of my depth. My only option of appeal is through IAS so I am now confused. Is it worth doing it since Beavis case (which they quoted in letter). If so, can you show me the link to assist me. Thank you.

MET Parking - Virgin Active (Nottingham) - POPLA Stage
New to the site, I received a PCN from MET Parking Services through the post a couple of weeks ago. Long story short, they claim the driver overstayed the 4 hour parking limit by 20 mins. They use registration recognition upon entering, exiting. They want to charge me £100, £60 if paid within 14 days. Using this super…

Appeal letter worked!
I just wanted to say 'thank you' to all the people who have written threads on how to get your parking fine quashed. I was in the process of paying a parking ticket that I received from asda car park for staying over the 2 hrs free parking. I was a genuine customer but had already discarded my shopping receipts as it was…
