I appreciate this must seem quite sad to ask this question...However. I am quite neurotic about food safety and hygeine......thinking that I would start being more thrifty I decided to buy a whole chicken in M&S today and cooked it this evening for a roast (just for myself - live alone) with the plan of having it the next…

Diced lamb - quick meals?
I have some diced lamb in the freezer (picked it up reduced at 86p for 300g in Asda). It doesn't say what cuts it is, other than "prime cuts". I don't have enough time in the evenings after work to wait for it to stew or cook in a curry, but want to use it this week as it is taking up far too much space in the freezer. Can…

Leftover yoghurt
Under pressure from DD's I bought Muller corner yoghurts, and of course there are lots left which are now OOD. I have just made a batch of scone dough using the yoghurt instead of milk, but can I freeze the raw dough? I really don't want scones just now, and just want to freeze the dough, but I think it might be better to…

Vegetarian & vegan cook books recommendations
I'm a confirmed carnivore but I would like to eat more pulses, beans & lentils - in the interests of healthy (low cal) eating. Has anyone got any recommendations? Pulse looks good (but only saw on amazon so not inside - a reviewer recommended the 7 veg tagine, I like the sound of that!). Or HFW River Cottage Veg Everyday?…
