Veet was good, but what next ?
The house we have just moved into has DISGUSTING basins. The little round grid things which stop your rings going down the plughole were black and hairy in all 3 basins. There's a wonderful thread on here about what to do if you can't pull the hair out, and I have to say that Veet worked - hoorah ! But the little griddy…

Alternative to coffee for a tiramisu?
I really dislike coffee (even a little bit makes me nauseous). At some point in the past I have made a version of tiramisu using something else instead of coffee but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was. Has anyone used something else successfully? I was thinking of maybe an orange syrup (choc orange version).…

using frozen mashed potato on top of a fish pie
Anyone got any experience of Aunt Bessies frozen mashed potato? I wouldn't normally dream of using such a thing, but I'm disabled and find peeling spuds VERY difficult, DH is away on business this week, and DS (who would peel some for me) is at an after school club so won't get back until 6:00, will be hungry for his tea .…

Vegetarian Recipes for Halogen Oven
As the title really. I'm planning on buying a halogen oven within the next day or so but would like a recipe book specifically for vegetarians (or vegans). Some of the recipe books I've seen do have a few recipes for vegetarians but I resent paying for a book which will really be only of 10% use to me. So if anybody knows…

What I would really love is to make a vegetable sauce to add mince to and have…
