Hand washing clothes with normal powder
Is it safe to hand wash some clothes with normal washing powder? Washer broken and don't really want to go out and buy hand wash powder if I don't need to. Thanks.

up-cycle roller blind?
roller blind has 'extra' fabric at the top which is always rolled over. Can I cut a few inches off this and sew on some new stiffened material for a new look blind?
