lots of (past it) mushrooms left....
the local market were selling boxes of mushrooms for £1 on wednesday, and they weren't at their best then! Used a few in a biriyani (that went a bit wrong) and still have loads left. Suggestions please! Filled pasta with creme fraiche tonight so a few will go in there, but not loads as when they're past it they tend to…

Keeping onions in long-term - powder/dehydrating?
Saw an amazing deal at a local market - a big 5kg bag of onions for 99p. Wouldn't know what to do with them though. Ideally cook them in a huge batch in a way that they reduce down to a fraction of their size, so I was thinking of somehow powdering them? Any ideas?

Anyone got a cream maker for their Kenwood Chef?
I got a Kenwood A901 from eBay at the weekend and it came with an A927 cream maker, so I thought I'd give it a go. All seemed fine, however, the cream seemed to separate as it cooled, sat in the fridge it has completely separated. We used Asda unsalted butter and ordinary "Blue" milk rather than our usual semi skimmed. Any…

High Gloss Kitchen - how to clean?
I have some dark grey shiny high gloss kitchen cupboards and can never seem to get them really clean and shiny! They always seem really streaking and if I used some kind of kitchen surface cleaner on them and then try to buff them they seem "smudgy". I'd love to get shiny again (and really clean) - what should I use? How…

Cooking Sausages outdoors on an open fire
What, in your opinion would be the best way to slow cook some sausages (meat and vegetarian in separate pots) on an outdoor raging wood fire? I was thinking caserole pots or something? Don't want them to cook too quickly or need much (or any) attention. Thank you for reading :)
