OS Daily Saturday 14th April

Hi, this is the Daily Threadfor Saturday 14th April. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chatabout everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring andmotivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to dotoday or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in,put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) andjoin us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be awarethat many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, soplease don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help othersthat don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly butif not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you goto bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two dailythreads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each newdaily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you haveto though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does justas well.
Morning all
Tea & bacon sarnies all round cos the F1 qually is on, oh the things I do for love.
Molly, I hope you feel better soon.
Hubby's doing overtime at work today & tomorrow as they are short staffed, out of a team of 4, one is on holiday & 1 out sick.
I have a little bit of washing to do & some more paintwark to wash.
Not sure what we're having to eat as we aren't sure yet how long hubby will be at work, but burgers in a bun will feature somewhere.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

wow look how early i am. this just never happens. ive been missing in action for ages but still checking from time to time. ive now got three jobs which equate to nearly full time for me...about 35 hours. it means lots of running around and some days i do two jobs and somedays all three. i need the money so cant complain. one job is at a school so ive been off for two weeks on that one and i have cleaned the house from top to bottom. i did a very unsucsessful boot sale - stood there in the freezing cold from 5 til 1 and made £37. i was not happy with that. my friend that was next to me made £100. to be honest it wouldnt have been half so bad if it hadnt been so cold. minus one when i got there. anyway i then sorted the rest of the house and took a load to the charity shops. then the rest of it went in the bin. i feel every inch of the house is sorted and tidy. :T
still been baking when i can and making bread on timer. been trying to do weight watchers as well so some ready meals have sneaked in there which should not have. got a nice lamb hotpot for tomorrow.
take care all0 -
Well done wuvvies (Fraid mine still just exhausts me. Any advice on where to start?!)
The sun is shining hooray. It's been grey all week and so much rain. Might light that bonfire tonight. OH already planning bike ride. The roads of perthshire call. The girls are here today and we're making quiche lorraine and bread :T
Still coughing. 2weeks now,but much muh better. Friend at work said she used to get coughs like that till she gave up smoking. Very useful if i smoked :rotfl:

Good Morning Hester and Wuvvies and All Who Follow x
Hester - Thankyou for thinking of me x
I have taken refuge upstairs as the Grand Prix makes my vertigo very bad. I dont mind though as it gives me space to read through the threads. I am going to get back to OS as my shopping is astronomical. I deliberately left my bill out for the kids to read and they were astounded at the prices.
I think I will do my own version of the shopping challenge. Hugs for a good day xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning everyone.
Saw my dad last night and this morning (we walked puppies together
) and he's dong ok. He's a quiet man anyway so tends to hide his emotions but I know he talks to my mum so at least he can offload to her. Spoke to my gran last night too, she's very up and down and a bit panicky but hoping she will get there.
I am ok, thanks for your hugs etc, appreciate them.
Anyway life carries on and we are having a family gathering at our house tonight for H's birthday. So cue me running round a la Benny Hill style trying to keep house clean from dogs and kids who want to play outside in the dirt
I am afraid I am being totally un-:money: and as far from OS as you can get as I am buying everything either ready made or just to bung in oven
