Have you seen your gp as you may need antibiotics?
Seems to be bacon butties as a common theme today. Came down early and made dd and friend a bacon butty and tea before they set off for Harrogate, then had another two dds sorted out with bacon and egg butty each. I managed a slice of toast before going upstairs with a pot of tea to browse on here.
DH is taking me shopping later as fridge is looking bare and almost out of milk ,fruit and veg. Might make a curry tonight with rice and small nan breads and maybe a stir fry or pasta for lunch.
DH has made up the garden set and it looks as if it had been made specially for the space (rather than because it was £200 off and another £60 off for ordering it on Good Friday). All we need now is weather that will let us sit out and enjoy it. It has been so changeable lately I ended up coughing and sneezing for the last few days and poor DH not only got disturbed sleep but he has now started to cough. Going to take some home made elderberry syrup and would offer him some but he is very wary of it.
Hugs to everyone who could use one especially Molly."This site is addictive!"

Good morning all,my you are all busy bees, must be the thought of spring in the air.although I have baked a lemon drizzle cake this morning,I was going to do some more baking but my friend phoned me last night and invited me up to dartford to her house for lunch and dinner. Her OH has flown off somehwere exotic (with his work ) and shes on her own and has the builders coming in on Monday to start on her new bathroom. So we are going to empty it out of as much as we can today.Tow weeks today we are of on our holidays so she is hoping all the building work is finished by then, although hopefully her OH will be home by then.So I'm taking my knitting with me as well as we do like to sit and knit and jaw in the afternoon. The weather isn't looking great at the moment a bit overcast and cloudy, and not very warm either.Hope everyone has a good week-end though whatever you are doing
Take care all

Have we gone back in time a couple of months

Morning all!!
All my cleaning is done
just about to head out with pup for a long walk, OH isn't talking to me, because I had ago at him last night, fed up of running around after him like he's a child!! So he's in grump, slept on the sofa for most of the night and headed to work without a word!
Not much planned for today after pup's walk, need dog food, milk and coffee so will nip to the shops, then toad in the hole for lunch (It makes 2 portions - can I freeze one?) as OH isn't talking to me I haven't commited to making anything for dinner, I have plenty of options that he just wouldn't eat - tofu mince, jacket potato, pasta etc. So I'm sorted! haha.
Have a lovely day all

morning all!
off to work later so having a gentle start to the day - was reading my book in bed with a nice cuppa - a Stuart McBride book and its so exciting I didn't want to put it down!:)
Have cleaned the kitchen floor, tidied up and got the WM on. Want to make some leek and potato soup later for lunch.
Sistercas - I agree with Moorhen - its your DH who should be on the sofa!;)
Molly - hope you have a nice restful day reading the threads - the Fiscal Fast thread might be a good read re your grocery bills.
Bitsy - hope the family get-together goes well x x x
Am looking forward to the Grand National - I just love the build up and excitement to it - shame I'm at work but we can watch it there as the service users usually take part in the sweep stakes so we try and make it a special afternoon for them.
Have a lovely weekend all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all
Hester - ummm it's not February! :rotfl:(check the title of thread!)
Molly - how strange, the F1 doesn't affect my vertigo at all <insert confused smiley> Thankfully, cos I'm a huge fan of it. Watching live rugby sometimes does cos of having to follow the ball down the pitch and up in the air.I have taken refuge upstairs as the Grand Prix makes my vertigo very bad.
Feeling brighter today, thankfully! Still in bed. I was going to do uni work today but think I need a day to myself. So I'm going to read, paint my nails, chill out, potter round etc. I'm off to cinema tonight to see Cabin in the Woods.
OS wise - dishes to wash, will put hoover round, no WM as it's a bit rainy, think I'll make banana bread cos I have some mushy bananas in fruit bowl.
Have a good day all

Ooh just had some free tomato seeds in the post
(the Dolmio offer), I get paid on Friday so will go investigate then what I need to buy to start planting some things up for the summer. Any pointers? (I know there is a gardening board, but they scare me a little! :rotfl:). Where is cheapest to get gardening stuff? What is easy to plant up and grow for a newbie?
Cheers

Morning All
Hugs to you all, especially Tru, Molly, LW and Bitsy.
Well, we are back from Newcastle, well the hotel was near Whitley Bay, I had forgotten how much I loved the Northumberland coast so the journey there and back was just beautiful. Managed to swim a couple of times in the hotel pool, a fantastic leisure centre there and DD has cheered up.
Talking of DD I forced her to go to the Docs as it turns out that an under active thyroid can be linked to Urticaria and she told me that her hair was falling out too - not a good look for a 19 year old! Doc took blood and we will find out next week sometime.
Spent yesterday afternoon running between 2 banks trying to top up DS2s ISA. Managed in the end but everything that could go wrong did including a lovely but dense cashier!
Loads of washing on the line, it's cold but blowy here so the beds have been stripped too. Made spag bol ready for tonight and cleaned a bathroom.
Hope you all have a good weekend. Take care. XX0 -

Hubby's finished at work but has to go back to lock up at 5ish, I collected him from work & we went to B&Q to buy another mushroom kit, that's 5 we have now, we eat a lot of mushrooms. He bribed me by offering to buy me a 99 from the ice cream van! We had burgers in a bun with red onion, lettuce & bacon for lunch & he is now playing happily in the garden. I went to the butchers & bought a piece of gammon for £5.99, this will do sarnies for next week & ham egg and chips for tea on Monday.
Hugs Hester
