I've had a productive day - made lemon cupcakes, banana bread, 4 portions of veggie curry and 4 portions of veggie chilli
so freezer will be nicely stocked up again.

After a really hectic few days things have slowed down a bit, thank goodness.
Not had time to catch up on what's been going on with everyone but will have a scan through when I've finished this.
Great fun this morning as my DS2 came over with his motor bike in advance of his move on Thursday. We are all excited though he is appalled at all the packing! They were having a coffee morning in the church next door so I took him round to introduce him to a few people. One chap (who knows everything!) said that he knew at once that he was my son as we looked like 'two peas in a pod'. Remarkable that, as he is adopted.
Anyway he came away having promised to cut someone's hedge and take all the church's unsaleable bric-a brac to a car boot, so everybody loved him! He will do well at the boot, when he did one for me he came back having sold everything he'd taken plus the trainers he was wearing.
Not done any housework to speak of for the last week but the state of the house looks like it has been a month at least. How is it that you only have to ease up for a few days and chaos takes over. Am hoping that the coming week will see a few of the worst places sorted.
Well, I have a joint of beef slow cooking that is for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow and will appear in various forms over the next few days. Then I have 7 kilos of potatoes to peel for the drop-in tomorrow, I'm doing them toad-in-the-hole, (sorry all you t-i-t-h haters) with mashed potatoes and veg. Someone else is doing puds tomorrow. I have pulled the first of my rhubarb and am really looking forward to a crumble.
Now I'm going to try to catch up on all your news.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Well, house tidied, all washing line dried and ironing done, the bedding has gone back on the beds too. I also managed to get the grass cut so that was a bonus.
Monnagran that's funny - everyone says my brother and I are so alike and we were both adopted (not related at all). Just shows that people see what they want to see sometimes.
Chilling now but hate saturday night tv. May watch something on-line and do a bit of knitting. Take care. XX0 -

Pretty good os wise, though weather after initial sunny promise went very wintry (including hail) so heating went on this afternoon and washing in the TD. So the OS bits? Kept pretty much to shopping list in lidl, £50 :T After some weeks of looking, found very nice slate coasters for the front room in CS :TLunch was 2 croissants that needed using up
supper was fab (if i say so myself :rotfl:) YS sausages, left over veg and passata which is my os discovery. One portion left for tomoz
when the weather closed in we watched miss marple dvds. Freezer is sorted (though rest of housework can wait till tomoz) elona i agree, i'll try making a gp appointment MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
