I sent hubby to the shop to get some wholemeal flour for a carrot cake recipe I wanted to make. He came back with strong wholemeal flour for bread. Can I still use it in a cake or is it bread specific?
TIA

Bread flour has more gluten in it to make the bread 'chewy'. You can use it for cakes BUT it may not be the same texture you're used to. It will make the cake last longer though.TL0

Thanks Toxic. I'll go ahead and use it then, so it'll not be wasted!0
