Pasta sauce & soups (etc): what's best, canning or freezing?
What's best for storing pasta sauces, soups, and the like: home 'canning', or freezing? I'm thinking about both taste, and texture. Although home 'canned' sauces are faster to use, I'm assuming frozen ones can be melted fairly quickly in a saucepan?

BBE Brown Sugar & Coconut
Going through my cupboards I have found Brown sugar and Coconut both at least 6 months passed their BBE dates. Should I chuck and in future do more home baking or keep til I get round to doing some again? TIA

Cream won't whip? Why?
Has anyone ever had this problem? I'm trying to make a dessert that needs to be ready in the next hour but my cream won't whip! I whip cream quite often - most of the time by hand. Anyway, it wasn't thickening up so I put it on the stand mixer to whisk but still nothing's happening. Could it be a bad batch? It's whipping…

HM Garlic pizza bread
I tried making some homemade garlic pizza bread yesterday, but the base was a little bit undercooked (the edges were fine). My tribe devoured the lot, but I was hoping for some tips on how to perfect it as this was a dry run before I make some for a dinner party tomorrow with the remaining flour. I don't have a breadmaker…

What can I use as an alternative to milk powder in a receipe
I'm having a go at making chelsea buns as I really fancy a nice treat and I've noticed it's time to start using up some of the older bits and pieces in my store cupboard with end dates fastly approaching. The receipe is asking to use milk powder - and as it's only for 1/2tbsp I really don't want to have to go and buy some…
