I left OH to feed DGD1 and her friend the other day. He couldn't find any pasta sauce (rolls eyes) so he used stir-fry instead with franffurthers chopped in for a qick filling lunch. I didn't see it myself but it was a hit with the girls.
Also, wonder if you could use it as a sort of glace/sauce over chicken pieces.0 -
well apart from the obvious of varying your meat, fish and veg in your stir fry I've never thought about this before!
what about adding to a smoothie? with melon as the base.
could you make a lemon & ginger cake? use a ginger cake reciepe maybe?
could you maybe swap some of the sauces with friends?0 -
I was wondering about cakes and sweet things myself to be honest... I might just try some random concoctions and see what happens... I'd still appreciate any other suggestions/recipes

I've already given some away and am still left with about 30 jars!!Never say never0 -

I wonder if it was the BB4L 400% sale?
I ended up with about a thousand risotto packs from that company!!
You bought one CASE and they sent you 4 for about a pound. I also got the sauces but only ended up with about 20. still have about 5 in the cupboards in "waiting
Was very nice as a glaze for some salmon one time, would work with chicken too i would think.Ebay 13

I wouldn't have thought they'd be much cop in baking as they'd be mixed with so many savoury ingredients too?
If you did want to try a cake or something you wouldn't want to put a whole jar in anyway to flavour.0 -

Yep, it was Big Brands 4 Less, I got the risotto rice too and still got about 30 packs of that left! You can't grumble about it for a quid though can you?
We do have salmon once a week so I'll try glazing it next time, will try it on chicken as well

I had some of this in my cupboards courtesy of my mum. Was past its best before but I hate waste lol. I put it in a tupperware tub with a couple of uncooked cubed chicken breast, left it for 24 hours then fried it off (takes on a lovely creamy sauce) then threw in an Asda own curry sauce which only cost 9p.
Fed 5 of us with Asda's own rice. Tasted rather korma ish and even my 6 year old who doesn't normally like curry, or even anything like that, cleared his plate.0 -
