    Just as a side note.
    The jars are a perfect size for making jam because the top is so wide it is easy to put hot stuff in it without fear of burning yourself.
    and they stack so much easier than round jars.

    I made a batch of baked beans and found that one jar was a perfect amount for one person, or two as a side. Cost about 10p a jar!!

    I wouldn't have thought they'd be much cop in baking as they'd be mixed with so many savoury ingredients too?

    If you did want to try a cake or something you wouldn't want to put a whole jar in anyway to flavour.

    I was thinking that too as there's probably vinegar or soy in it.
