Dried up corn on the cob?
We've got several corn on the cob from our garden which we forgot to harvest, now they've all dried up. I thought they were useless but hubby is determined not to waste them. Is there any way we can use them or is it a complete waste of time? All ideas gratefully received because I'm all for chucking them! :o

Feed yourself for a day with no store cupboard....
Whilst waiting in the cold this evening for a bus I got to thinking what was the smallest amount of money you could spend on a whole days food imagining you had nothing at all in the cupboards. I reckon I can do it for £3.52 (using the prices on mySupermarket) and still get in 5-a-day. My shopping list is: 1 banana - 11p 1…

Cheese and wine evening / party MSE style
My friend has asked me to help organise a cheese and wine evening. She is giving a talk to parents and expects about 50 people. The idea is to serve cheese and wine for refreshments. There will be tables of 6 -8 people. This is a bit more sophisticated to what I'm used to doing when entertaining - shoving a few sausage…
