I think I've broken my cake...
Hi everyone, I'm supposed to be making a birthday cake for a friend tomorrow and all was well until I went to check it - I think I must have knocked the oven dial down when I was cleaning up as it was at 120 degrees  :wall: It has a crater in the centre now! Any ideas as to what I can do to make it look intentional?…

Can you use red wine in risotto? All the recipes seem to say white but I have some red left over and don't really want to open a bottle of white.

I just went to make tea for tonight and realised the fresh chicken I bought went out of date yesterday. My OH said, "oh just use it, one day won't make a difference, it will be fine". I would have thrown it away. Out of interest, what are your views?

Too Hot Curry
Am a little embarrassed to admit this, but I must have slipped when making this one. It's a Madras, and the first mouthful BURNS! I am not joking! I've tried greek yoghurt, but it was no help. This is a batch cook, can anybody help to make it more edible, I would be gutted to waste it! Thanks in advance.

I have borrowed my mum's slow cooker, she doesn't use it anymore (hasn't actually been used for about 9 years or something since I was in high school! but it's had a good wash out!) and I wanted to try it out. The thing is that I set off for work at 7am and don't get back until 5pm. The slow cooker has two settings, low or…

Sofa Cushions
Has anyone successfully washed the cushion covers on their sofa, i.e. the covers for the seating pads and the back cushions, not just little cushions you would use to accessorize. Mine of course say 'specialist clean only' but I'm wondering about a quick run in the washing machine. Having said that, my net curtains tore…
