personally I prefer the taste of chicken but my friend swears by the TV add trick - "crumble a chicken OXO cube over the skin before roasting"... I'll have mine au naturel any day personally

Im the same, love just plain chicken - mind you, an organic one has a lot more taste than the bulk standard ones, so maybe one of those would be better?0 -
Call me a cynic, but I'll hazard a guess at monosodium glutamate. That's what is in most stock cubes

all purpose seasoning is luvly on chicken, i pierce the chicken, rib the seasoning in and leave it to marinade, then cook it with foil covering the whole tin then remove the foil at the last 20 mins or so to crisp up the skin.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0

As thriftylady says, oxo cubes are full of MSG. They can (and often do in this house) make the most cardboard flavoured meat almost palatable.
I make tasty chicken by rubbing the skin with olive oil and then sprinkling with salt. You could try rubbing a chicken oxo cube in as well.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
