£88+vat. Avis refueling charge
Just received my husbands bill from Avis and they've charged £88.15+ vat for re-fueling. He doesn't do small print unfortunately, causes all kinds of problems... But is £88 reasonable? Total cost for 3 day uk hire of a vauxhall was £249.43. Is there anyway of getting them to reduce this, has anyone tried?

Car warranty cover
My employer is launching a scheme whereby one's car is covered for repairs (parts and labour) for an annual fee from approx £150 pa providing the car is less than 8 years old and has done less than 80,000 miles. My car has done over 100,000 miles so I would not be eligible but I wondered if there are other similar policies…

Virgin Trains - Ripoff
A few weeks ago I had to travel to London to Birmingham at short notice. I was charged around £80 for this as obviously it was not an advance purchase. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do I have to pay garage for taking car apart?
My car broke down yesterday on the way into college and I got a local garage to pick it up. I phoned last night to see if they'd diagnosed it yet and they said they thought it was the head gasket, and would let me know today. They did say when they rescued the car that it was possibly the head gasket as it is a common…
