Problems with new Mondeo

Please can someone give me some advice.
I have a 1 year old New Ford Mondeo TX TDCI 6speed

Its has had no end of problems first the cluster screen needed sorting, the car needed to be reconfigured, it keeps losing power when driving (been in twice for this) and now the back screen needs replacing as it wont demist.

Surely if i've paid 21,000 for a car i shouldnt have taken it to the garage 6 times. I 've been in contact with ford custer service who now ring every couple of days to see how car is and they gave me a free service.

But there must be something else i canm do dont know whats going to brake next.

Thank you

I'd be wanting a new one TBH. I have a 4 year old 115000 Mondeo TDCi that's completely trouble free. I'd expect a couple of teething issues with a new one but not that many.
  • Unless the engine/gearbox or paint fall off you'll not get a new one.
Unfortunately while its frustrating i would be content with trying to wangle as many free services etc out of customer services. Hopefully the screen will be the last of the problems and you willl be able to return to stress free motoring.

If Ford is repairing the car under warranty (and providing you a replacement car during that time) you can't do much IMO.

Also paying £21k for Mondeo seems too much!
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.
  • The first thing you should insist upon is that they collect and return your vehicle each time it fails, along with a courtesy car.
  • my dads mondeo was rejected by him after it kept cutting out, then when it was serviced ford forgot to put oil in and it went POP!
