PT Cruiser - electrics help??

Hi there,

Having just purchased a PT Cruiser 2.2 CRD I was overjoyed with it......until that is that the dash died....all dials, and warning lights on speedo etc and fan a/c lights.....everything else is working great??

Any ideas?

Or suggestions as to who to take it to.....Im in Bonnybridge near Falkirk....but work in Glasgow.....any advice would be great

Have you checked all your fuses?
If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.

  • Yeah, all seems well with fuses ..... Im at a loss....??
  • checked the earth?

Any electrical fault i get that i cant work out, i undo the battery for an hour and then plug it back in

    fixed a few problems before!
  • Ill try that....... wouldnt it be nice if it turns out to be that simple.

The way my luck is going ill doubt its going to be a costly affair.....ive an Mx5 sitting with a busted water pump as well
  • most cars have 2 fuse boxes, usually one under the bonnet and one inside the car,the one inside can usually be found behind the glove box or on the steering column or under driver side of dash, the fuse for the dashboard will probably be in this one,if you have only checked the one under the bonnet then you should check this one to.

alphanne, dont be disheartened :) We own a 2.2 CRD Classic and we love it.
One of the first things we did when we bought ours was to join The Northern Devils PT Cruiser Club, its incredibly helpful and there is always someone on there who can help you.
