Poor service on 4G with new Tesco 24th contract, options needed please
Hello all, I was just wondering where I stood in regards to my mobile phone network? I'm with Tesco mobile. The problem is that I'm not actually getting what they said I would. I was with them before hand with a long term contract that had ended. After about a further year of a 'rolling contract' I called (4th June) to…

After I cut a SIM card to make it compact can I use it again as a full size SIM?
I've just bought a new phone (Sony Xperia Compact) and see that it uses a compact SIM rather than the standard type of SIM. Apparently this is not too much of a problem because I can buy a cutter to cut it down to size. But there are times when I would still want to use my old phone. If I keep the plastic left over from…

3 network 14 day cooling off period query
Hi I rang three on 30th July in last month of my current phone contract. I wanted a sim only deal. In writing I got notification that contract starts on 6th August. In the meantime I have seen a phone and sim deal- also with three but sold through Tesco mobile, I rang to ask about cancelling within the 14 day cool off time…

TalkTalk Mobile fair useage policy - but i have unlimited calls???
I am currently on a sim only plan, which has unlimted calls, unlimted texts, 4GB of data. Unable to use contract mobile in own home due to no signal
Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I apologise if there has been a thread similar to this but I am looking for some advice. I'm currently 12 months in a 24 month contract with EE, everything was working great until I moved back in April to a new flat and I am unable to use my mobile in my own home due to being no signal. I…

o2 issues
My stepdad currently has o2 and more recently he's had to start using his 3G service rather than wi-fi due to us switching to a capped broadband service. Upon doing so, his 3G is non-existant in our house and the coverage checker states there is 0% 3G signal in our area ; something he wasn't aware of before. We've…

Vodafone's policy on Fraud charges
I've been battling with Vodafone for 5 months now and no progress made, and running out of places to challenge them, so seeking some sort of helping hand. Even been to the Ombudsman but having no luck. Severe service issues aside, I had my phone stolen in Barcelona in March. Approx £900 of call charges were racked up in…

iPhone broken out of warranty but in contract

How to cancel contract and move to PAYG
I have one month to go on a Talkmobile pay-monthly contract. It was a cashback by redemption deal which worked well but the cashback has come to an end and i want to move to PAYG with 3. I have a 3 PAYG SIM. Am I right in assuming that i should call Talkmobile to give notice to end the contract and get a PAC. Then I go…

Mass mis-selling by mobile networks on par with PPI?
The Isle of Wight has little or no 3G service and scant 2G and yet local firms sell smart phones and contracts regularly for services that they admit they know they cannot provide. Most homes get no indoor mobile signal here, "masts are 'down' " (an excuse that is trotted out month after month) calls drop constantly, often…

Absolutley raging at O2 Customer Service!!!!
Yesterday morning I topped up my PAYG mobile by £15 to give me a total balance of £16. Later the same day I was just drifting off to sleep & heard my phone vibrate, looked this morning to see it was O2 telling me my balance was now £10...so £6 had been deducted like I'd made a call which I hadn't. Called O2 CS today, told…

PrePaid / Pay As You Go - Who Reports On Your Credit File?
Hey All, So I am new to the UK and in the position of having zero credit, getting a bank account has been difficult enough, let alone a mobile phone. Anyway, I heard that Monster Telecom have a prepaid plan that requires no credit, but will report to your credit file (which in my case is good). Would this be correct? Are…

3G phone with real buttons.
Does anybody know of any phones compatible with the 'Three' network that have real buttons as opposed to a touch screen or a QWERTY keypad. My dad wants a new phone and he finds real buttons easier to use. He's 88, by-the-way, and by no means a technophobe, quite the opposite. He's just not as dexterous as he once was.

Orange PAYG no longer limit their daily data charge?
Orange used to have a limit of something like a couple of pounds per day for the amount they would charge us for data, even without buying an extra. Did they remove this? I got stung quite bad. It also seems hard to change from the "starter" plan to racoon (the good one). And the info for the starter plan is impossible to…

Mobile phone contract
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice, please bear with me as it is a slightly convoluted query. My mother uses her mobile phone a lot and would benefit from going on a low tariff contract, however she likes the PAYG phone that she currently has, I on the other-hand want a new phone but hardly use it,…

iPhone is disabled / locked query
Was given a used iPhone 4s and, after trying to restore it to factory settings - without success, It now states - "iPhone is disabled - try again in 23,419,776 minutes"! The screen will slide but only to allow emergency calls - nothing else, nor does the (working) home button ave any functionality I've downloaded and…
