Mass mis-selling by mobile networks on par with PPI?
Options
The Isle of Wight has little or no 3G service and scant 2G and yet local firms sell smart phones and contracts regularly for services that they admit they know they cannot provide.
Most homes get no indoor mobile signal here, "masts are 'down' " (an excuse that is trotted out month after month) calls drop constantly, often 5 or 6 times in one conversation, these are all common moans here whichever network one is contracted to. I'm 02 (until contract ends!) and these problems make a joke of having a 'dumb phone' (5G iPhone). When I query problems with 02 I'm told to switch to 2G as there is no 3G here, so it us admitted...AFTER I have bought the phone. If so, why was I sold a contract/phone for its use?
Surely this is fraudulent mis-selling as well as complacent disinterest in any customer service. Come on Martin, time for a campaign to get mobile providers to deliver what they take our money for. I know the Isle of Wight is not alone in these issues.
