Been quoted £777 for a powerflush for 10 radiators and magnaclean by BG. Is this a fair quote? Insisted they did a water test for the powerflush they did today with fernox and am now expecting the results. Anybody had one done before and what to expect from the results? Magnaclean on its own will cost approx £250. Thanks

Refurbishment works
Evening I just wondered if someone could give me an idea of whether a quote I've had for some works is a fair one or not. Admittedley, I've only had the one quote so far, but if it's a reasonable one, then I may need to rethink the job and perhaps not get it all done at once! So here goes: 14'3" x 10'5" room - replacement…

Plastering and repair of partition wall costs?
Hi, Does anyone know what a fair price would be to replaster a room 3.5 x 3.5m? 3 walls need plastering (including working round a fireplace and sash window), plus fixing a 10 inch tear in one of the partition walls in the room. Only that wall is a hollow partition, the rest are solid masonry. Few decorators have quoted…

Can any give idea of costs for garage, LPG heating and a rewire please?
We are thinking of buying a 4 bed 3 reception room house with plenty of land which needs updating. Thanks.

What's the going rate for a Combi bolier sevice?
Hi, I want to get my boiler serviced and I have been quoted £60+vat. Does that sound about right? Also my boiler has been dripping (a little) for the past few days since we started turning the heating on again (didn't have it on over the summer months). The pressure is high too (I think the valve needs to be turned).…

Quote for plumbing fair?
I've had a quote for re doing my whole bathroom and have a breakdown. For replacing the bath and toilet ( in exactly the same place just swapping the old for new) I've been quoted £500. That seems really expensive especially compared to the rest of the work. What should I be paying for this? Thanks

was promised that Talk Talk would be better, a lot better. But you are worse, if fact I think the worse company I have ever the misfortune to deal with! On our first bill there was statement ‘Here at Talk Talk we’re truly committed to providing you with the highest level of service’; I notice on our latest bill that this…

Replacing shower cubicle
Could anyone give me an approximate price for replacing a shower and shower cubicle? I'm hoping to move house but don't like the shower (or cubicle) in the new house. The rest of the bathroom is lovely. I think there are tiles inside the cubicle and assume they would need replacing if I want a new unit (I believe the…
