Bathroom Quote

Hi,
I have been given a quote to refurbish our ensuite. It's only about 4 metre squared and the work involves:
Remove shower cubicle/tray
Remove toilet
Remove sink/cabinet
Remove tiles
Remove carpet
Replace all the above with new furniture
I have been given a quote of £8000 to supply and install. The sanituary ware comes to about £3000. This includes labour and all materials and is fixed priced. We are based in London and this is the second quote we have received, the first was for about £12k from Dolphin Bathrooms!
Does this sound reasonable?
Regards,
Ray

£5000 for labour, that sound very expensive, even in London.0

I'd say thatw as very high even allowing for congestion charge and parking considerations if you are in the centre. Where in London?
Is it 4 metres x 4 metres or is it 4 square metres?
Site unseen max of £ 1,500 labour, £ 500 basic building / plumbing materials etc plus suite / tiles and disposal would seem more in the ballpark for what you have described. I might change my mind if I'd seen it though.
Get another quote.
