Compensation from Aer Lingus
My situation has a bit of a twist. My flight from Dublin to New York was delayed for 4 1/2 hours in March due to technical difficulties. I sent a letter along with the EU claim form to Aer Lingus and got their standard response back that technical difficulties are an "extraordinary circumstance ". I know that the UK Caa…

Flight delay Thomson - extraordinary circumstances
We travelled with Thomson to Gran Canaria five years ago and I contacted them in April 2013 with regard to compensation which was declined due to extraordinary circumstances. Recent Experience (interesting new points too)
We had a delay of 8 hours flying from LHR to North America. The airline (which I cannot disclose for legal reasons) operates out of North America, and has "service offices" in the UK. When the airline informed us of the delay, we went to their desk at LHR (in the air-side departure lounge) and requested that we be moved to…

Flight Delay
We recently flew with BA to Heathrow, were re-routed to Manchester due to fog at Heathrow and the pilot said he didn't have enough fuel to wait in the queue for landing. Thomas Cook Flight Compensation - Voucher not cash
Following the latest court ruling Thomas Cook have compensated us for a 7hr delay a year ago to the tune of £580, which is great but this is in the form of a voucher rather than cash that would be preferable. Can we challenge this or do we have to accept the voucher? Thanks. Andrew

I hope someone can advise us. We've put in a claim for a group of four on a flight to Barbados for a cruise 3 years ago, the problem seems to be that I'm the only one who has kept my e-ticket.
