Utilita price increase from 1st April - MSE Smart Energy Club tool still showing lower prices
Received an email from Utilita notifying about yet another price increase from 1st April. I'm raging because I only recently switched to them, and I'm going to have to switch away after just a few weeks. Also the MSE Smart Energy Club tool is still showing the old prices and I think this needs to be updated because it…

Does MSE Energy Club Cover all suppliers and Tarrifs?
I always usually stay with my current supplier usually but as I've recently moved and on a British Gas Temporary 2019 tariff. So did a comparison. USwitch have EoN as one of the top suppliers that would save me £300 a year. But it doesn't appear on the Energy Club comparison. Even checked compare the market and Eon was on…

Solarplicity Horror Situation need advice
Hello Guys hoping someone can help. I was with the energy gas and electricity company solarplicity.com for a year. I then switched to eon. My final bill with them was wrong, so instead of them owing me £10 they think I owe them £50 as the meter readings was wrong. I've repeatedly emailed and called them and they said…

Eon Backbilling
I moved from my last address in January 2018. I sent off the final meter reading for electricity but wasn’t able to for the gas as the meter was housed in the basement of the converted Cornmill and it was flooded out and unsafe to go down. Regardless, I received an email in March 2018 to say they were sorry my final bill…

Please help, npower appeal rejected by ombudsman
I hope somebody can help me. I have been trying to resolve an issue for over 2 years with npower, made a complaint via the ombudsman and have now had that complaint rejected. It's a long story, I will try to summarise. In 2016 I moved I to a new house, the previous owner had £300 in debt on a prepayment meter. Npower said…

Moving Home
Hi, we are moving next week from a house with just electric to a house with gas as well. Our bill with our current electricity provider is quite high (due to old storage heaters usage) and we are tied into a contract. My plan is to transfer the electric to the new house with the payments being the same in order to reduce…

I want to get economy 7, how do I do that?
Can anyone offer some advice on how I can get an economy 7 meter? I have been search on google and all I get is pros and cons of economy 7. I want to cut through all of that and see if I can get one installed. Do I need to move to a supplier that offers economy 7 before they can install a meter for me or is there a better…

Calorific value (CV) ?
How do you know you are being charged the correct Calorific value (CV)? Is there a website that would advise of the changing CV values to verify with for your area or do you just have to accept what your energy supplier tells you.

EDF Huge final bill
Hi, I wonder if anyone else has been in a similar situation or knows what to do here... I changed energy supplier and received a huge final bill which was taken from my account of £439. They claim we were underpaying for the last 14 months by about £30 hence the huge final bill. I have disputed this as I sent meter…

Opos chasing former One Select customer
Several missed calls to home landline with no message left every day last week (perhaps thankfully as Virgin Media's max number of rings is 5 before their answering service cuts in!), answered one in time though on Friday as was expecting a call from another unrelated company and it was 'Opos Limited' dealing with a matter…

Worcester Bosch Combi Compact
Does anyone here have a Compact Combi boiler made by Worcester Bosch? I've had a couple of people around (I want a Worcester Bosch boiler) but one or two of the installers have recommended I get a "normal" sized one as the compact sizes are a bit noisy. Has anyone experienced this or found them to be noisier than a…

OVO from Economy Energy >>> creative billing >>> chapter 2
Be very careful with OVO (ex Economy Energy). The bill shows an "Actual Reading" of 30 January 2019. This is actually a 6 January reading. It is contrived. Note that I have used 537 units which OVO calculates at 13,977 kWh. This is seriously wrong. 537 x 1.02264 * 39.3 / 3.6 = 5,994.97 kWh. The price is 5,994 x £0.0354 =…
