Eon Vs Ovo

So I will be joining ovo relatively soon and leaving EON but they sent me a asking a letter about me leaving to go to a different company.so I had a conversation with them and they were talking about the standing charge and unit rate that they will charge compared to what ovo will charge.

EON standing charge gas 23.48 pence daily
Kwh charge 4.123 pence

Eon standing charge electricity 19.50 pence daily
Kwh charge 18.43 pence

OVO electricity and gas charges are slightly cheaper but the standing charge is more expensive am I still going to be making a saving by going to OVO.

Remember you get your 3% bonus thingy when you've been with Ovo for a while.

However that being said you can get far cheaper than paying 4p per gas unit and 18p a electricity unit. That sounds like a "standard tariff" (aka really expensive).

You need to post what your Ovo rates are going to be and how use gas and electricity you use in a year, otherwise all anybody can do is guess as to whether you're going to save anything.

I know what my annual gas and electricity consumption was for the last year

Electricity consumption 5554 kwh

Use than more than 1925.7 kWh annually, then OVO is cheaper, otherwise EON is cheaper

What I don't understand is I went into very detailed information with OVO and double checked and they had it to approximately £92 per month for the gas and electricity.a month
Yes Eon had it as £132 a month

Never trust energy companies, as they want you to stay with them/move over to them.

From the usage figures you gave, OVO are cheaper than EON.

Today its not just about price,its about customer service and response times such as meter repairs'.Always read a suppliers forum.for example.Who did that external antenna wire?.
