Can anyone help, over the xmas period I switched energy supplier after using MSE site, as part of the switching deal it offered £30 cash back (cheque) after 30 days with my new supplier. I haven't received this and don't know how or who I should contact. I have spoken with my new energy supplier whom suggested that I…

Npower Dreadful - I want to Finish!
I signed up to npower last November for electric and gas with their fixed price tariff to April 2015, quarterly direct debit. I just cannot believe how useless this company is. The first bill was received last week for just £30! that's 6 months electric and gas. The online account readings never work even though the…

Solar Power Payback Claims
Am I the only person who is highly sceptical about the claims made by Solar Power companies? I have had 2 visits now from different S/P salesmen (at my request) and they both used the same spreadsheet to demonstrate the Investment returns on a 4KWp system. They both used 10% as the likely annual increase on energy prices…

British Gas Business Fixed Price Energy Plan - want to change
I'm trying to move to another supplier, but I have a British Gas Business Fixed Price Energy plan. There is no business here, it finished 5 years ago, but BG persuaded me to keep it on. Now they are saying it's a fixed price plan and I cannot change until May 2015 ! I didn't change onto this plan myself, all I can guess is…

Price on average
Just a quick question and I know it might be different for everyone, but I was just after a bit of advice over what you should expect to pay for gas and electricity. We're currently with e.on and pay £62 a month which I've thought was cheap anyway, but now they've emailed saying it's going up to £110 a month to cover what…

EDF Problem!! - Currently paying Two Energy Cos for same Metered Supply
I'm having a problem with EDF after recently switching over to Daligas. I have been supplied by Daligas for the last few weeks. However, EDF will not close my account nor suspend the direct debit. They maintain that they have not heard from Daligas re the switch. Daligas are adamant in their own words "[FONT="]that we…

Eon, 2 direct DDs?
I presently pay Eon by DD and they only take one DD for both gas and electricity. Could I pay separately for my gas and electricity as I need another DD for one of my bank accounts? My tariff is warm assist so going elsewhere is a no because no one else does that tariff and it is the cheapest I can get.

Anyone know of an email address for someone at the top in EDF?
We switched to them for dual fuel in Nov last year (having been with them for electricity for years). And that's when it all went wrong! It would appear that none of their front line staff know what the info on their screen means, they ALL contradicted each other and all of them tell you want they're saying is right! The…

Can you use comparison sites to switch if you are moving house?
The title says it all really. When you fill in the forms on the comparison sites they ask for current usage- so logically you put in the current useage in your current house. But then if you go on to fill in the form to switch it tells you that it will be passed to your new provider who will contact your current provider.…

Stuck with EDF due to their incompetency
Coming to the end of my current fixed tariff for both gas and electricity with EDF, so thought I would shop around and seek an alternative supplier. Tried to switch to First Utility, but was told the meter reference point number for the gas is incorrect and, upon further check, it would appear that EDF have registered my…

Nothing to switch from - how to get a good energy deal?
Hi - any ideas on how to get a cheap energy deal when you are not switching, just signing up? Also, why does MSE energy signup take so long? I ended my previous energy contract some time ago when I sold my house. I lived in lodgings (inclusive of energy bills) while house-hunting, then I bought a house. The previous owners…
