Just a quick question and I know it might be different for everyone, but I was just after a bit of advice over what you should expect to pay for gas and electricity.
We're currently with e.on and pay £62 a month which I've thought was cheap anyway, but now they've emailed saying it's going up to £110 a month to cover what we owe for the last year and estimating this year. We live in a standard 3 bed semi which we've been in a year and have a child due in June so we will probably use more gas and electricity.
Is £110 a month about an average price to pay? Or should we look at switching?
Thank you in advance for any advice!

£62 a month is extremely low. Put your usage into a price comparison site to see what the best tariff is, it's unlikely to be the one you're on.0

You've not given us any information to advise you so read this

Note that if you currently owe the supplier money on account (not an actual debt that has been demanded yet) and you switch supplier, the old supplier will want full & immediate payment of all that is owed with their final bill. (You might be able to negotiate a repayment plan)
But at least you won't be paying over the odds in future0 -
Hi Barnton 1982,
You can have a look at your Direct Debit using the Direct Debit manager on your online account. You can also make changes this way.
Is the account billed up to accurate reads, make sure this is done as it makes the calculations much more accurate.
The Direct Debit does sound like it's increased to cover your usage and then pay off the debit balance over the next few months.
Have you made sure your on the best tariff for your needs? You can do this online as well.
The payment amount sounds ok to me.
But we do always suggest popping your usage in kWh in to a comparison site to check other tariffs.
If you need my help, just ask
