Click 5 no rise yet
email from british gas When you took out Click Energy 5 you made a great decision – you're benefiting from our cheapest available online dual-fuel tariff*, and because we've only just introduced this market-beating tariff we're going to hold off any price increases for as long as we can. There's no need to do anything,…

BRITSH GAS CAP 2011 - SHOULD i ???
Hi, Have just noticed BG New product Cap until 2011. BG are currently my Dual Fuel Supplier and I am on Click Energy 5 What are your thoughts about switching to a cap? Are they tieing me into a heavily, 35%, hiked price, for 3 years, or is it a genuine good offer from BG in a very uncertain market? My gut feel on this is…

EON vs. Scottish Power
I was very pleased with myself this morning as I managed to get the Eon capped rate but now it appears you can still get the Scottish Power one should I cancel Eon and go for Scottish Power?

To cap or not to cap
Sorry, I know plenty of these going around now. Just been chatting to my sister who has decided not to cap as she's a low energy user. Looking at mine, I currently pay £360/year capped until Sep 08. My cheapest cap is £425 but was looking at staying with EDF at £480, that way no hassle for sake of £5/month. Just looked,…

How long does it take to switch online & cap?
We made an online application last week-end to switch to a British Gas duel fuel capped deal. We're already a British Gas customer for gas. Can anybody tell us how long it will take for the process to become effective?

Oh well -just capped with e-on - hope I don't regret it!
I'm sure I was paying the highest tarrif anyway with BG and SP, quarterly billing and standard rates. So swapped to eon and hopefully if the prices tumble (ha ha) - then I can switch again. I'm right in thinking PP17 is fee free to cancel?

Hi there, just looking for some advice as am getting very confused by the information available. I have a one bedroom (tiny) flat which uses Economy 7. I've not paid gas in 18months
Hi all My OH and I moved into a new build a year and a half ago and we just realised that we haven't recieved any gas bills. This may sound daft, but we're good paying bills that come through the door, this one never has. We've had lots of Scottish Power electric bills, so do we assume that our gas would be with them too?…

gas or electric cheapest
Does anyone know how to work out whether it would be cheaper to use the gas boiler or the electric immersion heater for my hot water ? I am with E-on for both. I know it used to always be gas that was cheapest but now I am not so sure with it having gone up so much lately. Thanks

Help!!! Npower refusing to uphold their fixed price now that I've switched!!
I recently switched suppliers for my gas and electric from British Gas to Npower using energyhelpline (started process on 30th May). Although both services have now switched, Npower are refusing to uphold the fixed price tariff for gas as they say British Gas held up the transfer and their offer has since expired. They…

Which company for high consumption?
Were currently on BG standard rate. We have a mix of blown hot air and gas central heating so the bills are huge. A single larger gas boiler is no good as I'm bringing the house down in a couple of years and rebuilding with solar units. So as what I would call a high volume domestic consumer: Gas: 14,317KWH & Elec:…

Eon tarriff - should I switch?
From reading all the different posts on gas/electricity suppliers, I have started to actually take notice on what usage we have. Before we just paid by DD and that was the end of it..never thought about it twice as such. The current deal we have with Eon is: Electricity Normal units up to 900 kWhs 17.577 pence Normal units…

Are EON+scottish power really capped?
My neighbour sells Southern electric and during a conversation with him he reckoned that the EON and Scottish Power capped plans are not TOTALLY capped at all. Something about there being small print stating that if prices rise to such a degree bla bla bla then they can exceed the capping. Does anyone know if this is the…
