Confused Scottish Hydro Duel User!

At present we get both our gas & electricity from Scottish Hydro Electric. Our usage of gas costing £500 per annum (27-jul-07 to 31-jul-08) and electric £1092.44 p.a. We pay £45 monthly direct debit for gas and £97 monthly d.d for electricity. Have been on comparison sites and am totally confused. Please help!

If you give me some consumption totals (how many kWhs for gas and elec) I could give you a basic estimate of BG prices at new rate. Sadly, I can't do it from just your cost totals as you pay at the moment as I don't know the unit prices for Scottish Hydro!

I spoke with Scottish Hydro this a.m. so i certainly can give consump. tots.
Electricity 10,016 units. Gas 1695 kWhs (18799 units - they told me) Hope you can make sense of this! I await your reply. Many thanks. Roslyn

I think you have got your gas figures the wrong way round, it should be 1695 units = 18799 kwh.
You use a lot of electricity, about 3 times the national average, what high power equipment have you got?

I always forgive blondes.

Your gas consumption is quite normal (a bit lower than the national average) but your electric is quite high at 10016 (I presume you had another blond moment above) which is 3 times the average. Any reason you know of.

Blond or not there is surely still something wrong with these units based on the costs in post #1.

The costs do tie up with the usage, 18000kwh of gas could be about £500, and 10000kwh of electric could be about £1100. I think there was another blond moment in the electric units quoted in your post, but if you look through all the posts the correct figures are there somewhere.
