How long does it take to switch online & cap?

To make an online app as an exisiting customer means it's probably stuck in their system as you are already with them and the likelyness is that nothing happens about it, probably worth giving them a call and even if they are no longer offering the capped deal you could argue you applied last week and heard nothing and they should definitely honour it, not sure how they're systems work but ScottishPower's show the app as already being on supply and it just gets stuck. Hope this helps0

This is what I was worried about, being an existing customer. Will give them a call and follow up and I suspect they're probably inundated with requests.0

To be honest, as an existing you're more likely to get it for the gas, as I think that most companies are honouring promises they made before the price increases and withdrawal of offers.
Supplier switch takes 6-8 weeks (some say 4-6, I say 6-8) so they may give it you for the elec, but they may not. Give them a call0
