Has anyone got a letter from British Gas?
Has anyone still got a letter from British Gas offering them a nailed up account to 2008 or 2009 with fixed rates starting in October 2005? We signed up to that premise and was told by BG today that the programme starts now, in March. This is after they have raised their rates. Please let me know if you have this letter…

I have a washing machine and a tumble dryer that have a retractble push button to start. After you press it it immediately pops out again. This means that neither will work with a timer on the socket, so the only way I can get economy 7 prices is to stay up late to turn them on by hand! Has anyone got any ideas? I thought…

Switching to npower online from economy 7
I currently have 2 different suppliers, British Gas and Swalec for electricity. Looking at comparison sites and doing my own calculations it looks like npower online is by far the cheapest for me. However at present I have economy 7 but can't find whether I can switch to their tariff without economy 7. The npower online…

Energyhelpline.com - no cashback
I used energyhelpline.com to switch both my gas and electrcity in May last year and received an e mail from them with all the details of the switch. As I didn't receive my cashback, I have been e mailing them a number of times. They have been repeatedly reassuring me they will be paying the cashback. Now they have stopped…

Would appreciate some help - trying to switch - BUT!
Like many people, i always meant to shop around for the cheapest Gas + Elec, but only got around to it a couple of weeks back. All was good, and I inputted all the info onto the £12.50 cash back site - energyhelpline.com. The cheapest for us was npower sign online, so we ticked the box etc and off we went. All was well…

Unsure about my electricity bill
Hi, I've been wondering about this for ages, and this seems the best place for answers. I've been with Powergen since moving into a rented house three years ago with my girlfriend. It's a three bedroom semi with Economy 7 heating, and electricity only. The last time we received a bill, we were £80 in credit, which we…

DELAY on changing over to new supplier
We have change our suppliers via your advice on uswitch, but we were unaware that it takes 6-8 weeks to happen. Is this normal or have i missed something somewhere? The other problem that we could come up with is that we are due to move house in hopefully 4 weeks time, are we going to have problems moving the new suppliers…

Advice needed urgently!!!
Thanks for reading - here's the scenario. I work for a small charity, and British Gas is chasing us for an alleged unpaid electricity bill - the bill relates to Dec 2001 to May 2002. At least, when I say BG, they have unhelpfully passed this to a debt recovery agency who I think are bullying us. There are 2 issues here -…

recently swapped to Powergen who put there prices up. Was going to leave and they offered capped price until 2010 with no release penalty. Is this going to be a sensible option?
