We have pre paid card and key meters for both gas and electricity, still with our original suppliers. Are we still able to switch suppliers to save money or are we stuck with them? Does anybody know? Thanks

I am not sure but I would think you can change just the same as everyone else. I don't know your circumstances but can't you get rid of them and pay by monthly direct debit? Card meters are the most expensive way of paying and it will cost you nothing to have the meters changed.Don't buy the Sun.0

I moved in to a house with pre-pay meters just before Christmas.
Not long after the move I switched providers to Scotish Power for both Gas & Electric to get a better deal. There was no problem - Scottish Power just issued me with a new Gas Card & Electric Key with their name on.
I have since had the pre-pay meters replaced with normal ones.Office Monkey0
