Capital One - are other people being refused card?
As the title suggests, I've just been turned down for the 4% cashback card. I was a bit surprised. I've got a perfect record. on the electoral register, homeowner, salaried etc etc. Perfect candidate I thought ! The rejection letter said I'd failed their credit scoring which was unique to them - anyone know how their…

What CC's have these. How do you find out when they occur. Are they designed to attract new applicants to BT on application or for existing holders who have yet to use their BT.

Sony Credit Card plus 0%
I have just opened a Sony cc for the pulse points (free MP3 player). I have just been phoned by them offering to transfer up to my credit limit £8k straight into any bank account with a 3% balance transfer fee. This means I can effectively earn 3.5% plus for a year for doing nothing. Any comments - does it work?

Barclay's One Pulse card No £25
I received the Barclay's One Pulse card today but there is nothing in the lierature about Martin's tip of a free £25 spend after the first purchase. Have I misunderstood something here. I gave my daughter The Times vouchers for PizzaExpress. The four of them went for a meal last Sunday. Guess what, they had no pasta and…

Capital One fee-free Con?
I applied as per Martin's recommendation for a Capital One 0% fee-free "Balance Transfer Card". Credit rating "excellent". Application was declined but "you have been pre-approved for an alternative Capital One credit card". Surprise surprise the alternative has a 3% fee. Strenuous denials by the Capital One applications…

BuynFly (Morgan Stanley) dropped credit limit to nil...what now?
Hi all. My hubby has been stoozing a sum on the Morgan Stanley BuynFly card. Today he got a letter (from "Goldfish" as they now call themselves) saying "after careful consideration, we have with immediate effect reduced your credit limit from £0.00 to £6,800". Firstly, we assume that this is a typo, and they mean from…

Hi, I'm after a bit of advice for the following problem... It was decided that…

Nationwide won't change address as no CCA
No debt problems here, just a question. We moved a few weeks back, and wrote Nationwide a letter changing address. They called us and said that they had no record of our signature, and they'd send us out a new credit agreement. Which never arrived. Today they called us to say they couldn't do that and we'd have to go into…

Yet another sharp practice by credit card company
I have just stumbled across a great scam by a cc company. Having had a few problems I can only pay minimum at the moment but pay on time every month and do not use the card. On their on-line payment service which I always use they pre-fill the minimum payment box and this is what I use to pay. However I now realise - and…
