in Credit cards
Hi all
Has anyone applied for the above?
If so:
- have you been given the credit limit you were hoping for?
- how long did it take from application to actually receiving the card?
TIA
Suze

I applied online, via quidco, got my cashback, got my card and everything went very smoothly, decent credit limit...they called to ask what i used my card for and what sort of balance i'd need, then gave me what i asked for
but
...no-where takes the card so i cancelled after about 2 months.
I wasn't very happy with their cashback/spend offer being credited annual either (prolly my own fault for not reading the small print) but i would have put up with it if more places took the card.
can i ask why your asking?Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -
I applied nearly 2 weeks ago, have had an email and a letter with my pin in it but still no sign of the card, or any indication of what my limit will be. My letter was airmail from America (!) so maybe the card's coming from there as well and that's why it's taking ages.0

I agree - I have just got one for spends for new build house to earn cashback. First time I went to use it to buy home insurance, Barclays don't take Amex. If this continues, then it will be getting binned as the only perk was the cashback.0 -
All supermarkets take Amex. With my food bills, that alone will clock up over £50 in cashback over the first 3 months. Railway station also takes it, so that's another £20, and Quidco already gave me £10. Worth waiting for a year I think. I just find it embarrasing having to keep asking if they take American Express all the time (especially if you're old enough to remember the sketch on Not the 9 O'clock News back in the 1970s)0

I've discovered B&Q take it which is good as I'll spend money in there. Went to buy a new bed and 2 mattresses via Mattressman on Quidco and they don't take Amex. Some you win.................0
