American Express Cashback card - credit limit and timescales?

Most garages accept Amex as do all the supermarkets. I have had an Amex card since 2003 and use it when I go on holiday. I wouldn't say that I get physical cash back but I do get some money which is then credited to my account. Despite Amex having a customer services here in the UK - the cards and pin numbers come from America.

Some places don't take Amex because they have to pay for the privilege of doing so but there are still plenty of others that do.

Blimey, I have even paid for facials with it.:rotfl:

I've just applied for one of the Amex 5% cash back card i adid an online application had a call from them 2 days later to confirm it had been approved and the card is on its way with a £9k limit.

Update - I eventually got mine with a £2800 limit which seems high to me! I only have one other card (£2000 limit) and I always pay them off on time. Others have been surprised at my 'low' limits but they're fine for me - I can't imagine what I'd do with more!
