Hi
I received my onepulse card today, i signed up it for because of the great £25 offer. there is no mention on the paper work of getting the £25 when spending on it for the first time.
Also when i activated it the adviser tried to sell me insurance against theft, fruad etc but I thought that i would'nt need protection against fraud?
iM a confused newbie with a 9 month old tearing my house apart......arghh
Can any one offer any advice please
A tired mummy

I got exactly the same. I signed up after seeing it in last weeks email.
I wasn't accepted straight away, they had to decide offline.
I received the card, phoned to register it (14 minutes on hold), and they were quite pushy with trying to sell me protection insurance, but eventually stopped after my third refusal.
There is no mention at all of the £25 credit, I guess I will wait and see if it is applied to my account.
They also said as part of the registration of the card that they would load £20 oyster credit on it. I said I did not want them to load £20 on it as an oyster card. They told me I had to have this. So I told them I did not want to use it as an oyster card, and was asked why. I just said that I already had an oyster card with a balance on it, and didn't want two. They suggested that I put £20 on it anyway, then merged the two. I again refused. I was then told I should not have applied if I did not want to use it as an oyster card. So I said I might use it as an oyster card, once my current one has run out. Finally they registered the card without oyster.0 -
On the CC freebies page Martin says ...
Grab a Barclaycard OnePulse credit card and spend on it within 60 days, and it'll credit £25 to your account; simple as that. There's no minimum spend to qualify, meaning a bag of crisps would get you the free cash.
Note that is not quite true. You do not get free cash with this deal. It is credited to your account. If you withdraw it as cash from a cashpoint, you will pay a cash withdrawal fee. It should say that you get the £25 credited to yoru account, not as cash.0 -

Hi
Thanks for this - i had thought "it'll credit £25 to your account" was enough, but re-reading I dont think I've made it clear enough. I'm going to the article now to make sure it's clarified

Just got my first statement on this today. It mentions the mighty £1.57 I spent on it but no mention of any free £25. Do you think they will pay up on next month's statement after I have settled the balance.0

It's called "Activation Credit" or something along those lines on the statement. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Not received my £25 either despite spending on the card as required. 2 statements, no credit, only credit was my own cash I paid in.Escaped from Barnet to freedom in the South-East!0

I got this card when the first £25 offer was running last Autumn. had to e-mail 3 or 4 times before the credit was finally applied. Was promised in the literature 'within 28 days of the statement date on which the qualifying purchase appeared.' fat chance!Ethical moneysaver0

I've an email from them saying I'm not entitled!
Really? I applied via the offer, used the card on shopping of £5 the next day, so what rule are they going to quote I wonder.Escaped from Barnet to freedom in the South-East!0 -
