Lloyds Advance Credit Card

I have just discovered that my Lloyds Advance card went up in September by 3%!!!!! It was 11.9% previously. Lloyds are still advertising the card on their website at 11.9%. Has this happened to anyone else?

Unfortunately, they advertise the rate as 'variable' so they are free to raise it as they see fit.

Yes I do know this but wondered whether it had happened to anybody else. I shall be moving the balance to another card now. I have a perfect payment record with them so if they can't figure out the good payers from the bad then I shall take my good business elsewhere where I will be rewarded with much lower interest rates.

That's the best thing to do. If you're not happy, close the account and take your business elsewhere.

Make sure you tell them why you're closing the account. There's a chance they might offer you an incentive to stay.

My hubby got the letter yesterday, change of APR from December. So it ends our neverending 0% promotion ;-) I'm planning to pay off the card in full.
