BT Total Broadband : How to avoid traffic management
Hi there, I've just signed up to the unlimited option for BT total broadband after moving house. I was reading the Terms and Conditions on the BT website, and noticed that they reserve the right to throttle heavy users during peak hours. Is there any way to avoid this - eg downloading outside of peak hours, or is it based…

Broadband advice...going over my limit

Connection speed
Forgive the lack of/misuse of technical terms... For my home broadband I'm on Virgin, on an old tariff of £14.99 per month for "unlimited" downloads. Recently I tried to switch but my house seems to be out of the range of most service providers with faster download speeds. I have previously been on a 0.5Mb connection as…

Cheapest short term broadband for new flat with no phone line
Hi, I'm moving to a new flat which I'm renting. I don't expect to be there for more than a year, perhaps only 6 / 9 months. It has no phone line, so it seems I need to get one installed for broadband which is quite a hefty charge (£70+). It's unclear who's cheapest when this charge is factored in, especially as the minimum…

Be have increased the cost of their Be Value 8 meg broadband product to £13.79 per month for a 12 month contract, so this product is no longer worth considering when the similar offering from their parent O2 is still £7.50 for mobile customers, or £12.50 for non mobile customers.
