BT Total Broadband : How to avoid traffic management

Hi there,
I've just signed up to the unlimited option for BT total broadband after moving house.
I was reading the Terms and Conditions on the BT website, and noticed that they reserve the right to throttle heavy users during peak hours.
Is there any way to avoid this - eg downloading outside of peak hours, or is it based purely on volume rather than the time at which you perform the downloading?
Cheers

BT tend to traffic manage in a couple of ways...
Firstly they base your individual traffic management on your overall usage per month. It is only when you hit around 100gb in a month they tend to restrict you... Normally for 30 days. The amount isn't really written anywhere in stone but it tends to be around that.
They also generally manage the usage at peak times as well for all their customer's. This is not massive cuts in speed just moderate controls at peak times such as evenings and weekends.
If you aren't likely to exceed 100gb in a month you shouldn't have too much of a problem. If you are wanting to download things as quickly as possible I would recommend downloading at times which aren't considered peak times.0 -
BT broadband option 3 has an upper limit of 100 gb usage per month. If you go over 100gb for the first month nothing happens except a warning but if you go over 100gb the following month then your speed gets restricted to 512k for 30 days. They also restrict certain applications at evenings and weekends such as p2p and torrents etc.
