Usage breakdown...is it possible?
Hi all. We are with Plusnet which has been fine up until we recieved an email stating we had almost reached our 20GB usage. On the Plusnet website it breaks down your usage into a number of categories, most of which make sense except the OTHER category which takes 53% of our current usage. Plusnet can't tell us what…

Moving home and MAC codes
Could someone clarify this MAC code scenario for me please? I'm currently with Virgin Media for phone and broadband (their XL 20MB package), and it's not particularly cheap when looking at Martin's moneysaving ideas. I'm moving house in 2 weeks to a new build property - therefore no history of broadband attached to it. I'm…

Understanding what's on offer - LLU etc
I'm so confused. I posted a couple of days ago about a slow connection as apparently from trawling new providers' websites I could get much better speeds than I'm on (this is by providing my phone number & postcode). Talk talk even called me back to say they could offer 3Mbps - I'm currently getting 0.5Mbps (tested at…

TalkTalk broadband
Ok, I used to be a member of Tiscali for broadband and never had any trouble, phone line with BT. I then had a sales woman come to my door telling me because of my area I could get free broadband if I transfer everything to TalkTalk for a new contract. I agreed as was told it was only £16.98 Turns out she never signed me…

Switched from AOL to talktalk, now slower speed.
I have switched from AOL to talktalk and now get 20-25% slower download speeds. I know, ultimately, they are the same company, so thought my speed would have been the same, same eqpt at the exchange?, but it is a bit slower. :( Anyone else had the same?

Pipex/TalkTalk/Whoever they are today!!!
I have been with Pipex for my broadband for many years, and not had a problem. Within the last year I've had cause to change my opinion, and am currently trying to move to O2. Last week I phoned Pipex and requested a MAC code to move. The next day my broadband died. I phoned the technical support people and was told the…

no can talk on talktalk
Please Please Please if anyone is looking for 'cheap' broadband avoid talktalk. It is one week since I have have been without service and I am told that it will be at least another week before I am likely to get another modem to try. An engineer can call if I am prepared to pay him £50 per hour. There appears to be no way…

Orange/Simplydigital £11.20 a month broadband and home phone
I saw this deal and as we need both clicked on the simplifydigital link, but this says it's an 18 month contract, which works out at just over £13 a month. Is there a 12 month? Because that's obviously a better deal! £13 is still the cheapest but I know how carefully MSE research is done so if there IS a 12 month contract…

Aol
Is it coincidence that for the last couple of weeks I have trouble with AOL, keep getting the message not responding. Then I get a call from them, out of the blue, offering a new router, faster connection etc, etc. The catch being I have to agree a new contract for 18 months. Has anyone else had this happen to them?
