For a while i dont qualify for any of the cheap broadband deals as i am not in the area. However I have rechecked with sky as i am a sky customer.
I now qualify for the free broadband 2mb and this is free per month as long as i take the freetime take package which is also free. I have to pay the £60 one off payment.
Am I reading this correctly. Is the price going up after a couple of months. I am dubious of intro offers. I am ok about being signed up for a year but i dont want any hidden charges.
I dont want the line rental as i use primus.
can anyone who has this deal let me know if there is anything hidden in the small print
thanks

Freetime/Base is free as long as you remain a Sky subscriber. However it's a very basic service-not only a 2MBps speed cap but also a 2MB per month data limit, which is inadequate for most people. So you'll probably end paying the extra fiver to upgrade to a decent service before long, which is what they intend-classic Sky bait and switch tactic.
PS: do you not need to be on a Sky LLU exchange to get this offer-you say you are not on a broadband low -cost exchange, which presumably means no LLU provision? No free lunch, and no free laptop

whats a sky LLU exchange. I pay 9.99 for virginnet broadband which is 1mb speed.0

Check here to see if Sky LLU is listed for your exchange - http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php0

Broadband availability overview
ADSL:Yes
SDSL:No
LLU services:No
Cable:Yes
Wireless:Yes
Why did it let me select the broadband, and call plan, if i cant have it, i think i will give them a ring0 -
You can have broadband, but it will be Sky Connect, at £17 (non-LLU).
Did you put your number through the Sky checker?
Your cheapest non-LLU option will be Plusnet Value at £12.99 (first 3 months at £6.49, Quidco cashback available). So no cheaper than your current deal (though it will probably be a better service). No free lunch, and no free laptop

i am really sorry, i have tried to complete the order and low and behold when i input my phone number it says i cant have it.
oh it is so annoying,
thank you for your help at least i understand about it a bit more. Sorry if i led you on a wild goose chase, but thanks for sparing me the time0 -
No problem. The first thing you should always do when considering broadband is to use the number checkers. That determines your exchange, and your exchange determines if that service is available on it or not.
Remember, broadband is exchange-specific.No free lunch, and no free laptop
