TalkTalk broadband

Ok, I used to be a member of Tiscali for broadband and never had any trouble, phone line with BT. I then had a sales woman come to my door telling me because of my area I could get free broadband if I transfer everything to TalkTalk for a new contract. I agreed as was told it was only £16.98
Turns out she never signed me up to broadband so had to phone customer services (charged of course) and they said there was no such thing as free broadband on TalkTalk, so I changed to the broadband package. I then started getting information for two orders, a £16.98 and a £18.68. So I phoned back and was told that the £16.98 was the correct one and I would get free broadband.
As you can guess, 1 month down the line I get a bill for £18.68 + calls. so I phone back and ask where is my free broadband. The representative then tells me i do have free broadband. After telling him that I could get unlimited calls and no broadband for £16.98 and I had evening and weekend calls and broadband for £18.68, he repeated "you are not being charged for broadband" after more arguing he hung up on me. so after lots of emails and letter writing I keep getting the reply of "you are on the £18.98 package"...not very helpful
Does anyone know if this free broadband offer exists? or if I have any right to cancel for mis-information? How can they claim the broadband is free when they have a different package with no broadband for less?

Talk Talk offer a package which gives you evening and weekend calls with broadband for £6.99 per month on top of the £11.49 line rental. I would not say the broadband is free as most providers will give you the evening and weekend call plan free. I would instead say it is £6.99. They used to market it (may still do) as free broadband when you instead got unlimited calls anytime but that recently changed to just evening and weekend calls. The total this package should come to is £18.48. If you were told anything else and given any other information on the package such as it includes daytime calls I would make a complaint requesting the call is listened to. Good luck.0

Thank you for your reply,
Well I wrote a letter and was told "we can't find any paper work promising you free broadband, please send any paper work you have proving this"
well I dont have any paper work because it was all done in conversation; by the original sales woman, and by a representative on the phone. I guess I am a bit stuck without anything writen down. There is, however, some rubbing out on my original order form, maybe that is something to go on.0
