Moving home advice required

Hi

We currently have a combined telephone and broadband deal with Talk Talk that costs us £24per month and includes unlimited land line phone calls at anytime and unlimited broadband Internet access. We do not pay any additional charges to BT.

We are about to move in to rented accomodation for about 6 months while we renovate the new house we are buying.

I recall from previously moving that the process of transferring my broadband to a new address was something of a headache and took a number of weeks.

As I need wireless broadband access to work from home once a week I am keen to get the switch actioned as quickly as possible and with minimal hassle. Especially as I am going to have to do it twice in the space of approx 6 months.

Can anyone suggest a provider who could offer a similar deal to the one we have with talk talk and can be set up and then switched later quickly.

Thanks

    Hi Tomsdad67,

If you are still in contract with TalkTalk and you choose not to take the home mover service for your new property then cessation fees would apply to your account.

As Rufus_348 has said the home mover fee is £29.99 with TalkTalk. It is usual for home moves to take around 4 weeks to complete. You can arrange this in advance by calling the home movers team. There are new processes being trialled currently to speed up the process for home mover customers so it is possible that your home move would be completed faster. It would also be possible for you to register and post at https://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums for assistance and help tracking the process of the move.

The process is fastest for customers moving onto an LLU enabled exchange. Do you know what exchange you are moving onto and if it has TalkTalk LLU available? If you need any help with this let me know.

    Cheers
