did you install all the BT software from the CD in the Box ??
it installs its own software to do wireless connections ( and its rubbish) go to add remove programs and remove it all or if its easier for you then go to a restore point from before you installed it
this is how to do restore in XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084
this is Vista

no files get lost
You do NOT need to install all the BT rubbish to connectEx forum ambassador

take it off and leave it off , its really not required on ANY broadband supplier but they like to hijack your homepage and put their branding all over your PC
all you really need is to detect the wireless network once the hub is powered up and enter the wireless key ( which is on the back of the hub) XP or Vista can manage wireless on their own (and do a better job)
the restore point will put the laptop setting back as it was before the CD was usedEx forum ambassador
