BT Broadband
This will probably get moved as its not exactly a discussion but:- I just wanted to say that without this forum i would more than likely have renewed my broadband package and accepted the first "discounted price" i was given. Reading on here that people are getting option 3 for 17.99 a month gave me that confidence to push…

Worried About Tiscalli
Hi there, I have recently cancelled my account with Tiscalli due to the fact I am moving home. However reading the negative posts have raised a few alarm bells. We have 7 months on our account left but due to contact liability, we are fine with paying this, and decided to pay this off in one go. However I needed a debt…

Can someone please get this Stickied ASAP? (And it's still a work in progress) This is a guide of what to do BEFORE you call Technical Support for any ISP (Written by an ISP Ex-Engineer) as these are the basic checks every ISP will get you to complete before they touch it (Thus saving you all that wasted time on hold…

More Tiscali trouble
Another example of Tiscali's lack of service, I'm afraid. My connection went down at the beginning of the year. I rang technical support (premium charge) and was put through to a nice man in Delhi who kept me on the line for 40 minutes without solving the problem - he had not got a clue. My only option was to cancel.…

Tiscali - I can't be the only one....?
Just lost my previous attempt at posting so trying again.... I have just had the most frustrating phone call of my life tonight. Back in November 2007 we cancelled Tiscali as our ISP and asked for the MAC code. Got this and transferred to Sky. Great......NOT. Today I received a very nasty letter from a debt collection…

Freedom 2 Surf - New Packages
Freedom 2 Surf seem to have realigned all of their price plans. The cheapest now being £13.99 for 10gb and upto 8mb and £19.99 for unlimited and upto 16mb. I've just emailed them and apparantly there is still off peak access (1am-6am) that doesn't count towards the allowance. I'm on one of their old £19.99 packages and am…

Help! What download limit does a MMORPGr need?
We're looking to finally get moving and switch broadband, having sat tight since Orange was Freeserve. We've overpaid horribly for ages, for which I hang my head in shame, but it's the speed the rest of the world wants to move at which is finally forcing some action because our 512mb feels like dial-up lately. So the good…

BB without the BT line rental?
Hello :hello: I’ve reached the end of my tether with BT, I want to move about as far away from them as possible. Ideally I would like to tell BT where they can stick their line rental. Is there an alternative? I have the internet on my mobile phone, it must be possible to have the same thing for my laptop at home? many…
