BB without the BT line rental?

Hello :hello:
I’ve reached the end of my tether with BT, I want to move about as far away from them as possible. Ideally I would like to tell BT where they can stick their line rental. Is there an alternative? I have the internet on my mobile phone, it must be possible to have the same thing for my laptop at home?
many thanks. :j

Mr mum lives in Hull so has only access Kingston Communication's internet provider. Have just bought her a Three mobile broadband which seems to be working ok and is quick. Also as I'm a Three customer, it only costs £5 a month instead of 10 - offer only available at stores not via their internet.0

thanks Daleslady. Looks like '3' could be the answer to my prayers. I've checked and I'm in a good area for it. I will buy it first to make sure it works before I say good bye to BT forever..0

If you are in a cable area you can get BB from the provider with no line rental, Sam Knows contains a list of all the exchanges in the uk and what BB providers are available in the exchange.
