Broadband and selling house

HELP!!! I am currently with BT for my broadband and pay £22 ( I think) a month for bb... I am looking to change suppliers possibly to sky and get the telly too with sky+ . I would be on a shared dish as I live in a flat ( can I get sky+ ?). So my total bill with line rental is £35 ish a month and I need to save money.

So can I sign up with say sky or tiscali and then if (!!!!) / when I sell my house cancel and not have to pay the charges rest of year if I erm for instance move into a house that has cable or already has tiscali....

Doubt it
once you agree a year contract on a phone line for broadband then they tend to hold you to it. If you wish to cancel half way through to move house they tend to expect the rest of the contract to be paid in full. Broadband is not portable

If you cancel the contract mid-term then you'll be liable for cancellation charges, the remaining months line rental or £70, whichever is cheapest.

Remember that if you move the service to the new property you'll start the 12 month contract all over again at the new property.
