Make Do, Mend & Minimise in 2024
With the cost of living showing little sign of easing soon, I thought I'd start a new thread for this. I'm sure many of us are trying to be as environmentally friendly as we can be as well as stretching our budgets as far as we can. I'm putting together a To Do list towards this end and will publish any achievements as and…

What's in your lunchbox ?
There is a discussion on this board started by @markglasses who has been taking jam sandwiches to work for many years. To help him and others to have a virtual peek into others delights, this thread has been started. Mark would also like to see approximate costs as well, if at all possible. So anyone who wishes to lift the…

Weekly Flylady Thread 15th April 2024
Welcome
to the weekly Flylady Thread. We
often see new flyers (gents welcome!) around this time of year so please don't
worry if you feel you cannot keep up. Similarly if your house has been
neglected it won't be turned around in a day - but if you stay you will get
into some good habits which do help! Happy flying. What…

24 for 2024
OK, it's that time again! I know a few people have done this in the previous years, but I'm making a start on getting organised (or procrastinating over my 23 for 23 list 😂) The idea is you have a list of 24 goals, that you do 24 times during the year. It can be big or small, fun or serious, and the idea is something you…

Good morning, it's a fine sunny start here, whoo hoo. Ds and family turned up yesterday, he'd been doing a parkrun in S Durham, and he rang to see if they could call in on the way home. They stayed for lunch and we had a good chat, as we hadn't seen them since Easter weekend. Don't know what's happening today, we may take…

Happy New Year. Hello Everyone. I continue on my mission to live La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) - living the best possible life I can with what can be politely termed a modest budget. 😂 I want to have it all......a beautiful home, gorgeous clothes, gourmet quality food, exotic travel and fun. Alas I am not a trust fund…

Ninja CREAMi Breeze Ice Cream & Frozen Dessert Maker
Posting here as us OSers are the most likely to make HM ice cream. Anyone who has seen the deals to be had on the main site will have seen this one. The reason I am going down the HM route is because I love ice cream but the stuff in the shops is ultra-processed and really is full of rubbish. I would rather get away with a…

Do you have a way of doing something that makes it easier or more efficient? Something that you do but you’re not sure if everybody knows about it? If so, share it on this thread 🙂 Here’s mine.
