Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's raining as usual, what a wet winter and spring it's been.
Yesterday was an ok day, visited my friend , then I went
out for a bit of shopping.
Not much happening today, but we'll have the excitement of the quiz tonight!
Hope everyone has a good dsy, take care folks.13 -
There's a hint of a good day in the sky even though it's chilly right now. The exercise class was exacting yesterday so I slept right through the night. Only woke once, opened my eyes, looked at the big moon and fell asleep almost instantly again. This morning I've two appointments and then, perhaps I'll tackle the grass this afternoon once the dew has dried up, if it does. It'll be a high cut as the grass is so long. Fingers crossed.I hope that everyone has a good day too.12

Morning allThanks for starting us off Gers. Meeting up with my co-worker today for a coffee and catch up at a local garden centre. Want to get some tomato plants while I'm there. Weather forecast says cloudy with a bit of rain. If they're correct it should settle by the end of the week and temps going up a little bit. Lets hope so. Planned retirement for Spring turned into retirement into an extended winter!Have got a little bit of ironing to do before I go and then a quiet afternoon with my book and maybe a bit of snooker on in the background.Have a good day all x11

Thanks to all the early birds already posted.Another day at work beckons. Yesterday was ok but full-on. Dinner was even more tasteless than expected, my ears felt blocked up and think that made it worse - I know I’m turning into a grump about it but very fed up! I compensated with chocolate buttons which I also couldn’t taste but they made me feel better!Anyway hopefully today will be ok and drier too.AA13

Morning all
been raining here in the night but stopped now and we are not due anymore today but it will remain overcast would love a week of sunny days to lift the spirits!
Three people coming today and they have requested a walk to the woods to see the bluebells there are some woods here that have become somewhat famous for the bluebells so we will have a walk and see and smell the lovely display it’s about a three mile walk and there is a cafe we can stop at for a drink at the end we will take a packed lunch and eat in the woods somewhere.
Dinner tonight will be some pork chops with tiny roast potatoes and some veg, dd is off today so I’m sure she will do the potatoes. House is tidy I might just need to run the hoover over before people come.
Mums new gardener came yesterday and was a really nice chap he got stuck in straight away and did 3 hours and has made such a difference already he is going to do 3 hours a week until he is on top of it and then maybe drop to 2 hrs.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all and happy St George's Day!
Unfortunately our St George's Day dance out at a pub tonight has had to be cancelled as they booked a quiz and asked us to finish by 8pm. Seeing as people are working and can't get there much before 7.30pm there didn't seem any point in going. I think we might find somewhere else to go next year, seeing as we were only told this last night.
Sadly I have a funeral to go to after lunch. It's over an hour's drive and one where we've been asked to wear bright clothes; a first for me.
I shall now chill out for the rest of the day.13 -
Morning all, nice and bright here. I didn't post yesterday, my hairdresser came. DH popped home just as he was finishing & got a shock as I've gone much shorter. He's always liked it longer but it's gone so thin and wispy round the front I decided it was time for a change.I'm now sporting a short bob slightly longer at the front.DH was checking his emails last night and suddenly came out with a rude word! Someone who did a job for him on a boiler when he was doing a renovation 4 years ago has put in a claim for an unpaid sum at the small claims. He now has to produce evidence. There is plenty of photographic evidence DH took at the time as the work was so bad they had to get another firm in to rectify it! Last night found us both in the loft searching for that year's files which thankfully we found. I also have to search through emails but I doubt we still have those. It'll have to wait until later though- I'm going out for my lunch with oldest friend. The house is tidy, dishwasher doing it's thing etc. Just need to pull something out of the freezer for tea.Glad the new gardener has done a good job RR.AA so frustrating, I remember when I was like that- took the pleasure out of cooking and eating
but I can't remember how long it took to come back, it was back in the early days of the pandemic.
Take care all and have the best day you can x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a dry start for us and no rain forecast all day! Will wait and see what happens! Of course it's still cold and the heating is on again and I have yet to discard the thermals! I've got too soft in my old age.
I got my new specs ordered yesterday at considerably less expense than last year's rubbish ones and hoping I have better luck with those. Can't wait for them to be ready to collect.
It's supposed to be lunch today with DF but I am awaiting confirmation as it depends what her DH is like with all his problems when he gets up! He does have some physical problems but it's his anxiety and depression which seems to be getting worse yet he refuses to see a doctor. She has far more patience than I would have.
If lunch is off I am promising myself I will make a start on the front garden whilst the rain is away.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all stay safe xx

Morning everyone
Still dull and dreary here this morning. Yesterday was chilly all day - I wish it would hurry up and warm up.
I have lots of little jobs to do in the garden, but I'm a fair weather gardener., though I did go out after tea and pull a couple of dead plants out so I could put them in the bin before it's emptied today.
Work at lunchtime - I have a few jobs to do before then. I'll pick little one up from school today as DD is working till 3pm.
Hope everyone has a good day today x12 -
Morning all, it drizzled all day yesterday and today has started much the same. Yesterday I checked the food stores and did an online shop which is coming on Thurs.
I shall be pottering about today as I have a hospital appointment at 4.30 but I hate waiting around all day. If my appointment runs late we'll go to the hospital restaurant and have a look at their menu, the food is quite good at a reasonable price so will save cooking later and we'll miss the traffic rush home 🤞. Tomorrow it's Mr Fix It's turn at the hospital but luckily it's at our local cottage one so we could walk there if we're feeling energetic, shame it's all uphill on the way back.
WL hope the funeral goes as well as it can.
Have a good day all, take care and enjoy your day whatever you are doing.
