Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's fine here, the sun is shining, cold no doubt. Yesterday the wind was bitter.
I don't know what today has in store for us, we have no plans.
Hope everyone has a good day anyway, take care folks.13 -
Morning All
Nice and dry again this morning, bedding on the line and another load in.
Yesterday was lovely apart from an hour or so when it rained a bit, washing was dry when I got home and all put away. It was such a lovely evening I cut the grass so it's looking a bit tidier out the back. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more done later on this afternoon.
I'm going to DD's flat for the final time to wait for some folk to collect furniture then DD will come up - we only have one set of keys as the EA still has the others.
Thanks for letting us know how you got on Nanny, good news re the op, hope the treatment goes well.
Must dash, hope you all have a good weekend.
Take care. XX12 -
What a glorious day we had here yesterday. Such a complete turnaround from Thursday. The sun was out, the sky was blue and the heat was back. My biggest joy was getting all my washing out on the line and dried in the sunshine. Mind you, the wind was fairly brisk which helped, I kept going into the garden just to watch everything blowing on the line. 😀
I had deliveries of two new summer T-shirts (different companies) four soup bowls and a resistance band. A mixed lot! Today is open to whimsy, I should start to cut out the seemingly dead clematis which has failed to bloom for the first time in ten years, it's just a mass of dry wood. I really meant to prune it back last year but never did. I also need to cut back the rapidly growing hydrangea on the north kitchen wall, it's beginning to cover the window. My gardener has hurt her wrist som is out of action for a while. The ground is still too wet to cut the grass, if there's a couple more days of dry weather I'll give it a go on Monday.I hope that everyone is doing well.12 -
Morning all.
There's frost on the windscreen this morning! For goodness sake - it will soon be May!
Anyway, our walk yesterday ended up being 7.3 miles (it's a standing joke that our friend always seems to underestimate the distance!) but we had a lovely pub lunch afterwards. I had belly pork, which I don't cook at home, so that was a treat.
Unfortunately, because of the walk, my knee is a bit suspect this morning so I don't know know how many dances I'll be able to do at Oxford Folk Festival today. We don't really have any spare people so I hope it holds up.
The sun's now out so I might not have to scrape the windscreen. Must dash and get ready.
Have a super Saturday everyone.13 -
Thanks to all the early posters.
I’ve had a couple of days away in the campervan in the Welsh Marches, explored a couple of ruined castles, mooched in the book shops in Hay on Wye and vintage shops in Leominster - great weather! Our local boot sale restarts today so will give that a twirl in an hour or so. Will then finish spring cleaning the conservatory - just the floor to scrub - then we can use it while the sun is around.Nan - thanks for the update, one step at a time - great surgery results!Have a good weekend all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's definitely a day for dancing round the mulberry bush this morning. Frosty ++ and cold. But the sky is blue and the sun is shining so that's a bonus.
I have clematis woes too GERS. One I put in last year is thriving and in bud but my aging one is showing no sign of life at all. I'll leave it a bit longer before uprooting it in case it's still asleep!
Pot luck day for me with no plans. I know what jobs I should be doing but I am avoiding thinking about them. I might even venture into the front garden, look at in despair, and come back in again! I have been waiting for some warm weather as I am not a cold weather gardener.
No need to pop down town this morning as I went down yesterday afternoon and got the bits I needed and I even remembered to post the birthday card! I haven't heard from DS yet re what day Supermarket Sweep will be but he's still bogged down with putting his house to rights so it will be done whenever!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Thinking of NAN. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all. Heating on as 16 when I came downstairs - I don't do less than 18 - my osteoarthritis complains.
I am having my hair cut this afternoon and am getting flowers for a friend to have in Church.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering Target - 2024 - 3129 May - 0/3

Morning all, thanks for all the good wishes. Yesterday I had 2 phone calls for appointments about 2 mins apart. I now have a CT scan booked for next Sat and an MRI on the following Monday, both at the same hospital, shame they couldn't be one after the other. I still can't believe how quickly everything is moving.
This morning I was wide awake at 5.30, no idea why so the wm is already on. DD is collecting me this morning to go to the hairdresser, I was only there about 7 weeks ago but my hair has grown so fast and it's so thick it needs taming ! I forgot to take some liver out to defrost last night so once more I don't know what to have for tea, there's plenty in anyway so we won't starve.
AA I love going to Hay but I never buy anything as I get distracted by the myriad of books and flit from one shop to another, drives Mr Fix It mad.
WL hope the knee holds up and gets better soon.
Right I'd better get showered and dressed.
Take care all

Morning everyone hubby is painting the wall outside while it’s dry it’s supposed to be dry all day but we have heard that before but it’s still chilly I’m going to get my backside into gear soon and do some baking that I have been going to do all week . Went to try and sort some bathroom stuff out yesterday the girl was very good and I’m pleased my youngest son was with me he kept me right on a few things all plans are been drawn up and she is going to email me some pictures of what it should look like finished and the prices then I can jiggle it a bit and decide what I want to do so it will be a while yet before it gets done I’m old fashioned I’m afraid I like to see things in the flesh and try them out but this is a builders merchant that’s been highly recommended so nothing is really on display just samples I’m not convinced. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing6
